The SHOT Show is an American annual tradeshow for the shooting, hunting, and firearms industry. It is the biggest event of this type in the world together with IWA & OutdoorClassics, also taking place annually. "SHOT", besides being a general reference to shooting, is an acronym for "Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade". The SHOT Show is restricted to members of the shooting, hunting and outdoor trade industry including commercial buyers and sellers of military, law enforcement and tactical products. It is not open to the general public.
TenCate advanced armour can now offer installation as part of survivability solution for large naval vessels
TenCate Advanced Armour is the survivability solutions partner for several of the world's most iconic ship classes including the Danish Absalon-class, the Swedish Visby-class, and the British Type 45-class. The survivability solutions consist of a mix of modular panels for internal and external applications along with deployable protected gun mounts and special armour solutions for radars and other sensitive equipment.
Due to the complex nature of ships, TenCate Advanced Armour includes a long list of additional services such as measurement, mock-up panels to establish fit, and engineering services for uparmouring naval vessels. TenCate Advanced armour can now add armour installation to the list of services that can be included in the survivability package. This means TenCate Advanced Armour can enter directly with the ship yard and manage the long list of items related to passive ballistic protection for it, allowing the shipyard to focus on ship building.

The TenCate Multi-lightTM CXP451 IC is a super lightweight plate developed to provide protection in accordance with the strict requirements of VPAM 6. It is intended for use with demanding users requiring the highest level of mobility. The TenCate Multi-lightTM CXP451 IC plate is by itself up to 25% lighter than currently marketed AK47MSC plates and reflects TenCate Advanced Armour’s commitment to decrease individual operator load while providing essential and lifesaving protection.
The TenCate Multi-lightTM CXP451 IC is required to be worn in conjunction with a VPAM 3 vest to achieve the anti-ballistic capabilities. The TenCate Multi-lightTM CXP451 is also available in a stand alone configuration requiring no additional soft armour.
The TenCate Multi-lightTM CXP451 is part of a new family of plates providing protection at unprecedented weights thanks to new material compositions and manufacturing techniques. The new family of plates enables TenCate Advanced Armour to provide end users with a portfolio of plates to meet or exceed current and future requirements in terms of protection level, weight, thickness, and multi-hit capability.
TenCate Advanced Armour will once again exhibit at one of Germany's most important conferences for special forces, police, and homeland security. TenCate Advanced Armour will exhibit its solutions minded for the German end-users and bring a portfolio of survivability solutions tested in accordance with the VPAM ballistic standard.
Enforce Tac, the international trade fair for command, control and operational equipment used by security agencies, will be held on 6-7 March 2019 and once again brings together suppliers of equipment for law enforcement and representatives of public agencies from all around the world. Its eighth edition will attracted numerous exhibitors and expectedly more than 4000 trade visitors and participants to the show.

TenCate Advanced Armour France recently re-certified in accordance with the ISO9001:2015, AQAP2110 Edition D, and EN9100:2016 standards. The certificates are instrumental for TenCate Advanced Armour's capability to manufacture and provide survivability equipment at the highest possible standards. TenCate Advanced Armour France received the certificates with no remarks.
Since the earlier awards, the requirements for companies aspiring to receive a quality certificate has increased significantly. The new requirements especially involves risk management and introducing best practices to handle, solve, and alleviate quality issues. Due to TenCate Advanced Armour's France effort to bring their manufacturing facility from good to world class, all of the new requirements had already been implemented prior to the new awards. As part of that effort TenCate Advanced Armour France has also introduced many new measures to increase security and worker safety at the site. The effort has been implemented despite no major security incidents or accidents having ever occured.
The improvements at the French site has been implemented as part of a continouos effort to achieve the highest level of operational excellence at TenCate Advanced Armour France. Providing the highest quality of survivability products is at the heart of TenCate Advanced Armour's mission. The facility in France reflects this perfectly.
The TenCate Technical Center, the R&D hub for TenCate Advanced Armour, has developed a new method to process large 3D armour items. The new method allows TenCate Advanced Armour to use larger panels and manipulate the items to fit with corners, indentions, and other complex shapes. The new technology also allow TenCate Advanced Armour to reduce the number of panels needed by shaping the panels.
The method also holds a great promise to the users. one-piece armour panels minimize ballistic gaps in the armour solution, alleviating risk and minimizing the requirement to secure the ballistic gaps ultimately saving weight.
With this new technology, TenCate Advanced Armour will increase its usage of 3D shaped armour solutions and make them available for many more customers wishing to limit weight on anti-ballistc survivability solutions.
TenCate Advanced Armour already holds a vast experience in complex shaped armour panels, with many certified and fielded solutions employing the technology. The new manufacturing method builds on the experiences achieved in these programs.
Several of TenCate Advanced Armour's survivability solutions employ 3D shapes to acquire a better and more consistent fit with the platform. In particular spall liner systems can achieve significant weight savings for an equivalent solution consisting of only flat or shaped panels.
The new technology is an internal manufacturing technology and will therefore be made available to all clients
TenCate Advanced Armor USA harbors the US branch of TenCate Advanced Armour as a separate entity. This enables TenCate Advanced Armor USA to work with the US government on programs requirring additional security measures.
